About this Strategy
The Economic Development Strategy for Oxfordshire will deliver the vision for Oxfordshire. This vision is of a County with long-term economic growth which can be sustained for future generations. To support this vision, the Strategy focuses on four major schemes of investment in:
- Promoting and marketing Oxfordshire in the international environment.
- Nurturing and growing enterprise.
- Developing skills and widening participation.
- Overcoming the issues of infrastructure.
The Economic Development Strategy for Oxfordshire has been informed by input from many partners, and has been prepared by the Oxfordshire Economic Partnership on behalf of the County. It takes into account the Regional Economic Strategy, the Local Area Agreement, the economic strategies prepared by Oxfordshire's local authorities and local strategic plans. An operational plan will be produced, in conjunction with partners, to implement the Strategy. This plan will contain measurable deliverables that will be monitored and reported on regularly.
