Blake Lapthorn hosts “green breakfasts” (Oct-Dec)
29 Sep 2008
Blake Lapthorn is pleased to announce that it will run a series of breakfast seminars focusing on some of the most important climate change issues facing businesses today.
As the major sponsor of the Earth from the Air Exhibition, Blake Lapthorn is keen to contribute to the Planet Earth Season, which will highlight the county’s status as an international leader in climate change and sustainability science. So the firm has arrived at the concept of the ‘green breakfast’. The aim of these breakfasts is to encourage people to come together to discuss the issues surrounding climate change in a lively and relaxed forum.
The breakfast series kicks off on Wednesday 1 October with a basic and easy-to-understand overview of ‘jargon’ in the climate change sector and what it means – covering such topics as Carbon Offsetting, Technology, Energy Management and a Business Case Study - and culminate in an Open Forum session, which takes place on Wednesday 17 December. At each breakfast there will be a short presentation by a leading authority on a ‘green’ topic followed by the opportunity for questions, debate and networking.
The green breakfasts will start from 7.30 am at Blake Lapthorn’s offices at Seacourt Tower, Oxford, with the speakers presenting at 8.00 am.
