OEP Board
The OEP Board meets quarterly and focuses on making strategic decisions to lead the Partnership. The Board consists of the following:
- Joe Barclay is the Regional Liaison Director at the University of Oxford. A banker by background, his particular interest is the role which the University plays in economic development.
- Steve Bold is Chief Executive at Sharp Laboratories Europe and was Chairman of the recently disbanded Oxfordshire Learning Partnership. Steve has a key interest in promoting science and engineering to young people.
- Paul Bradstock has been involved in several innovation and economic development initiatives within the County for many years and is Chairman of the Oxfordshire Economic Observatory Advisory Council.
- John Bridgeman is a local businessman and a former OEP Chairman. He has been involved in the Oxfordshire economy for a number of years.
- John Cochrane represents the Federation of Small Businesses and runs his own business in West Oxfordshire. John has a particular interest in sustainability.
- Stephen Dexter is a former OEP Chairman and has been director or equivalent at various Oxfordshire organisations including CCLRC, Oxford Radcliffe Hospitals NHS Trust. and Oxford Brookes University.
- Ann Ducker is the Leader of South Oxfordshire District Council and has particular responsibility for sustainable development.
- John Francis is Director of Research and Business Development at Oxford Brookes University.
- John Goddard is Leader of Oxford City Council.
- Mary Harpley is the Chief Executive at Cherwell District Council.
- Verena Hunt is the Deputy Leader at West Oxfordshire District Council.
- Rob Jonckheer is Company Secretary for OEP and a Partner at Manches LLP.
- John Knights represents the Oxfordshire branch of the Institute of Directors. John has a special interest in leadership and development.
- Bob Langton is Chairman of Business Link Milton Keynes, Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire and specialises in PR consultancy.
- John Liggins represents the Bicester Chamber of Commerce.
- John McKeown is the former Chief Executive of UKAEA. He now runs his own strategic management consultancy based in rural Oxfordshire.
- Keith Mitchell is Leader of Oxfordshire County Council and responsible for Economic Development.
- Di Morrish is the Locality Manager for Oxfordshire at the Government Office for the South East
- Oona Muirhead is Executive Director, Sustainable Prosperity at the South East England Development Agency (SEEDA). Oona also has area responsibility for Milton Keynes, Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire.
- John Naish represents the Oxfordshire Town Chambers Network and is a Partner in a local Chartered Building Surveyor company based in Abingdon.
- Frank Nigriello is the OEP Chairman and Director of Corporate Affairs at Unipart Group of Companies.
- Keith Slater represents the Oxfordshire Chamber of Commerce and runs 2 retail businesses in Burford and Thame. Keith has a special interest in promoting Oxfordshire’s market towns and retail.
- Terry Stock is Chief Executive at Vale of White Horse District Council.
- Bob Walding is Thames Valley Area Director at the Learning and Skills Council.
- Stephen White is Director for Business Strategy at UKAEA.
- Professor Colin Whitehouse is Deputy Chief Executive at the Science and Technology Facilities Council.
- Brian Whitfield represents the Banbury Chamber of Commerce.
- Mark Wittet is the Regional Finance Director for the Newsquest Group.
- Sir Martin Wood was the founding Chairman of the OEP and co-founder of Oxford Instruments, one of the first spin-out companies from the University of Oxford. Martin continues to be an active member of Oxfordshire’s economy and is involved in several businesses, partnerships and charities.
