OLSPThe vision / mission strapline:

  Becoming the best place to learn ….. for everyone

 The purpose of the OLSP is to:

  • provide the learning infrastructure necessary to deliver highly skilled and motivated people who can make a contribution to their communities in whatever field of endeavour they choose
  • join up the thinking in education, business, local government and health
  • bring together the individuals and organisations that have the drive to tear down the silos and work together to create a strategy for developing people who can achieve more than their obvious potential
  • Develop the Big Idea into a reality

 The OLSP’s work is mostly done in the following action groups (AGs):

  1. Raising Educational Output
  2. Employment and Skills Board
  3. Back to Work
  4. Community Learning

The OLSP is chaired by John Knights. The steering group representatives are:
